Great Pond Quilts is located in Campton, NH and at Great Pond, in Belgrade Lakes, Maine...The Real Golden Pond. We have studio facilities at both locations so Louise can sew and Paul can cut. We always have the internet!

 

Who are we? Louise and Paul, two adults going thru a mid-life adventure. Louise has been a Mainer for most of her life except for living and raising her children in Quebec for about 10 years. She has been sewing for almost 50 years and got the quilting bug about 12 years ago. Paul was originally a flatlander from Massachusetts and spent most of his 60+years living and traveling around the world for major computer companies.

We joined forces as widow and widower (met on the internet) and created Great Pond Quilts, because we saw a need in the quilt market for: TIME SAVING, QUALITY, EASE OF CONSTRUCTION and FUN at reduced cost. So we make PRE-CUT complete quilt kits, made from the best and finest fabrics/100% cotton quality manufacturers. You do the fun part....Sew and the results will be your heirloom quilt.

Everything is in the kit: Instructions or pattern, pre-cut fabrics (including long cuts for borders and sashing) and binding. Wide backing and batting is also available. These are not kits made of fat quarters, fat halves or fat eights. When you open our kits, all the pieces are identified and the first thing you do with a Great Pond Quilt kit is...SEW, your results are unique, as all our kits are limited quantities and we never make any substitutions.

Our goal is to produce compete packages, Pre-cut that saves you time, costs and the knowledge that everything is complete and there is someone at Great Pond Quilts that will answer any question that could come up. Our ingredients, all from the worlds best, quilt fabric companies and our great design choices many from your favorite designers or designed by Louise on EQ6. The result is delighted customers.

As many of you know Paul was diagnosed with terminal cancer.   I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers, it means so much to both of us. Paul is undergoing extensive radiation and chemo therapy.  Inspite of everything he is going through his attitude and sense of humor is positive.  Paul and I are fighting this together and are determined to beat this. 
Because of this we have canceled all our shows except one, The Quilters Gathering this November.
